There has been an exterior and interior color change from original, reflecting the second owner?s preferences. We feel this is a small deduction compared to the volumes of documentation, and has been reflected in the price.
Arrow straight, all steel body has been refinished in Tuxedo Black. New White vinyl top. White sport stripes. Fit, finish, and gapping are excellent all the way around. Paint has been buffed to a mirror gloss. All chrome, stainless, and brightwork in very good condition. Factory Sport Wheels with Performance GT radial tires. Single sport mirror. Dual cowbell exhaust tips below the bumper in the rear. Tinted glass is in very good shape. This vehicle also runs and drives as well as it looks. 
Beautiful Parchment bucket seat interior. Seats, cushions, and plasti-chrome trim are in excellent condition. Factory console with stirrup shifter. Carpet, headliner, sill plates in great shape. Door panels also in excellent condition. Dash is smooth and uniform, no cracks, bumps, or discoloration. Gauge faces are crystal clear. Sport steering wheel. Factory AM radio. Factory air conditioning. All interior brightwork also in nice condition.
The heart of this beauty is the original 402 CU. In. (Still labeled as 396 in Chevrolet literature). All original components in the engine and engine bay, with the exception of maintenance and repair items. All major engine components have original dates and codes, with the exception of a new starter. Note: Most Chevelle enthusiasts are familiar with the 67 day strike that paralyzed GM production in xxxx. There are many examples of parts that were ?pulled off the shelf? to complete cars in this era. This Chevelle is one of them. The painted valve covers have been on this car since it left the factory, in lieu of the chrome valve covers. It has been left that way because it is original. Rochester four barrel carburetor. Cast iron intake and heads. Hydraulic cam and lifters. Cast iron exhaust manifolds with dual exhaust. Power steering. Power disc brakes.

Turbo 400 automatic transmission mated to a 3.31 Posi-Traction rear differential. Undercarriage is as clean and solid as you will find. New dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Even the original shocks and springs are still in place. Rides down the road just as it should.
Trunk is extremely clean and solid. Nice splatter paint. Spare tire and jack are present. You can see the clean inner quarters in one photo. Finish on inner trunk lid is a nice as the body, with original decals.
